Donald Keaton Obituary

DONALD PAUL "PETE" KEATON 93 years old of West Hamlin, WV. Born February 1, 1932, and went to be with the Lord September 16, 2025.
Donald served in the Army, fought and was wounded in the Korean War where he received a purple heart. Donald retired from CSX Railroad.
Donald was the son of the late Daner Paul Keaton and Irene McClanahan Keaton. He had three deceased brothers; Raymond Keaton, Billy Odell Keaton and Leslie Gene Keaton. Two living brothers; Ronnie Clayton (Brenda) Keaton and James Edward Keaton. one sister deceased; Nina Ruth (Harry) Stratton. He was the father of four sons; Robert (Jamie) Keaton, Michael (Teresa) Keaton, Douglas (Stacie) Keaton, Timothy Keaton, and he was a proud grandfather known as Popaw Pete to numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Pete was known for helping and putting others first. He had a heart of love for Jesus. Donald Paul was a member of Portersville Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and bell ringer until his health declined.
The family would like to thank Teresa Kemp for loving and caring for Pops the last six years.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2025, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV, with Pastor David Vickers officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Hamlin, WV. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2025, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV.
