Ralph Cossey Obituary

PONTOTOC - Ralph W. "Hoss" Cossey, 82, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. Hoss spent most of his life as a dragline operator and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Watts Cossey; children Tammy Cobb (Kevin), Tina Elliott (Jeff), Jenna Nichols (Clipper), Rusty Cossey (Pat), and Chris Cossey; grandchildren Brandon Chapman, Ali Claire Cobb, Melissa Pound, Melanie Sword, Kayla Moore, Josh Stacks, Bryan Nichols, Justin Cossey, Steven Cossey, Daniel Cossey, and Kenneth Cossey; along with numerous great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his son, Tracy Duncan, and his parents, Virgil and Opal Cossey. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 2 PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with Bro. Kevin Cobb and Bro. Bobby Cossey presiding. Visitation will start at 12 PM and continue until the service time. Interment will follow at Immanuel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Chapman, Justin Cossey, Daniel Cossey, Terry Holcomb, and Cory Watts. Steven Cossey, Josh Stacks, and Kenneth Cossey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
