She also continued a family tradition of being a Life member in the National Council of Negro Women and served as President of the Okolona Section for 6 years. She was a lifelong Episcopalian and a dedicated member of her beloved St. Bernard's Episcopal Church in Okolona. She was also a board member of the New Hope Cemetery Association which maintains the graves of her ancestors including 26 who were formerly enslaved. I along Louise from her time at Mississippi State. These are some reflections. We gather here virtually to honor the life of our friend and fellow Pioneer Louise O. Floyd Cole, a remarkable woman whose impact will extend far beyond her years. Louise was more than just a friend and schoolmate; she was a pillar of her community and a beacon of hope.

As we reflect on her life, we remember her gentle yet strong spirit, sharp wit, and infectious humor. Louise was unique in bringing joy to those around her, always quick with a joke or a kind word. She was a true friend, always there to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand.

Louise was not only a beloved friend but also a dedicated public servant. As Mayor of Okolona, Mississippi, she worked to improve her community. Her leadership and compassion inspired countless others to strive for a better future.

As we share during this difficult time, let us also celebrate Louise's life and the legacy she leaves behind. May her memory be a source of Comfort and inspiration.

As the days and years go by, this serves as more and more reason to cling to our friendships and families.

We pray for Comfort for her family, friends, all those who loved and, and all those she loved.

Louise, your impact will never be forgotten.
