Joseph Sugarbaker Obituary

Joseph A. Sugarbaker, III, 66, a beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.Born in Detroit, MI, he was a one-of-a-kind individual who left a mark on most people he met. As a master welder, fabricator, and sewist, he encountered many different people over the years making many friends along the way. A jack of all trades who could bring any project to life, while taking pride in his work. Beyond his impressive talents, his greatest achievement was being a father and grandfather. He was a devoted father to his only son and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his spouse, Gina Sneed, his son, Joseph Sugarbaker (Mariah) of New Albany, MS, his brothers, Robert Sugarbaker (Laura) and Steven Sugarbaker (Julie), his sister, Brenda Tally (Grant), and his grandchildren, Joey and Aiden Sugarbaker, Montana Moffitt, Braylee Morrison, Jaeda Rogers, Ireland Hensley, Bradlee and Braxtyn Wilbanks, Jazmine Wilbanks, and Bentley Wilbanks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Allen Sugarbaker II and Marion McCune (Sugarbaker), his brothers, Arnold Sugarbaker and William Sugarbaker, and his beloved brother, Scott Sugarbaker. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc at 5PM. Visitation will begin at 3PM and continue to service time.
