James Franklin “Jimmy” Turman was born December 22, 1940, and went to be with the Lord January 27, 2025. Jimmy was a very talented man who could do anything he set his mind to. Over the years he owned a country store, sold cars and real estate. He was in the steel building industry for many years. After retirement he enjoyed planting huge gardens and giving away the vegetables. Jimmy also loved being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. Over the years, Jimmy made many friends and always looked forward to his annual pig cooking for family and friends. He spent many weekends with the Bill Glass Prison Ministries sharing Jesus with inmates. Anytime he got the chance he would share with others the saving grace of Jesus. Jimmy is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Starkville.
