Dan Sisco Obituary

HOULKA - Dan Boyce Sisco, 85, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Destin, FL. Born on April 6, 1939, in Osceola, AR to Moncy R. and Lenora Sisco, he lived in Etowah on a farm where he learned to farm and developed a life-long love for tractors. He was a truck driver and beautician. He drove for ABF for 35 years until his retirement in 1998.He lived in Scott City, MO after retirement and then moved to Pontotoc. He enjoyed flying, fast cars, telling tall tales, tractors, mowers and all that goes with it. He never met a stranger; people were drawn to him. He was loved by his family and all who knew him. He was a wise man who was true to his word. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you were in need and never let you go hungry. He loved his family and was looking forward to the next reunion, which will now have to take place in heaven instead of at Bill's. Survivors include his daughters, Danette Goodrow of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Stephanie Wilson (Joe) of Destin, FL, his sister, Sally Grubbs of Pontotoc, MS, his brother, Eddie Sisco, his grandchildren, Kara Robinson (Dan), Ross Wilson (Katie), Zachary Goodroe, Jo Beth Loeffler (Julien), Jacob Goodroe, and Corey Wilson, great-grandchildren, Noah Wilson, June Robinson, Blake Wilson, Raleigh Robinson, Lawrence Robinson, and William "Bode) Robinson, 3 stepsons, Charley Johnson (Shelly), Edwin Johnson, Carey Johnson, and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ray, Grady, Glenn, Brown, Moncy, Jr., and Billy Sisco, his sisters, Louise Dixon, Ida Nell Jarrell, Grace Sharp, and Lena Wood; and his wife of over 40 years, Claudia Sisco. Funeral Service will be held at 10AM Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 9AM. Bro. Norris Grubbs will officiate. Mr. Dan was a good friend of my dad Mr. Self. My heart is with your family. He and my father helped each other and encouraged one another. It was a sad when my dad passed. I pray that y'all have comfort in your loss. Your father and mother were good people. May God bless you and your family
