Alfred Hayden Obituary
With deep sorrow and much love, I share the news of my passing on December 16, 2024, at the age of 59. My name is Minister Alfred Hayden III, affectionately known as "Len," and I was blessed to live a life dedicated to my faith, my family, my community, and my professional endeavors.
I was born on July 30, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, to my beloved parents, Deacon Alfred HaydenJr. and Geraldine Hayden, who preceded me in death. I am also preceded in death by my sister Rosalinde Hayden-Flournoy (Antoine). From an early age, I felt a calling to serve the Lord and spread His message of love and hope. Throughout my journey as a minister, I endeavored to touch hearts with kindness, inspire with my sermons, and remain steadfast in my commitment to helping others.
In addition to my ministry, I was a passionate entrepreneur and business leader. Together with
my lovely wife, Yolanda, we founded Crossroad Logistic Services, LLC, and I proudly served as
a professional driver for 38 years. My dedication to excellence and innovation in the logistics industry earned me recognition and respect within the business community. I took considerable pride in mentoring young professionals and fostering an environment of growth and success.
I leave behind my loving family: my devoted wife, Yolanda Simmons-Hayden; my cherished children, Bianca Freeman, Grace Hayden, Daniel Hayden, Shea Codrington, Daleah Jones (Jamie), and Nathan Jackson; my beloved grandchildren, Daylin Simmons, Ulrick Codrington III, Cor'Dayrius Collier, Emily Townsend, Jamie Jones Jr., and Zion Hayden; my surviving family members, Momma V (Vanessa Hayden), brothers Clayton Moore (Amber) & Kyrii Moore, uncles James Griffin (Mary)Donald (Earlene) Hayden and Clarence (Eugenia) Pleasant, aunts Geraldine(Robert) Gardner and Darlene Raynes, special aunt & uncle Earnest & Eloise Rhett Special Cousin Kimberly Griffin-Sanders, nephews Demond (Alondra) Warfield Jr., Chidel Hayden, niece Akeelah Flournoy, my parents in-love Pastor Clarice Setser (Kenneth), brothers in-love Robert Rhett (Linda), Gregory Rhett, sister in-love Crystal Williford, and three great nieces Aryana Marie, Aaliyah Faith, and Gabriela Lynn. They were the light of my life and my greatest joy.
