Mark Tracey Obituary

Mark Sean Tracey, 58, of South Windsor passed away on February 1, 2025. Born in Hartford on December 30, 1966, he was the son of Peter Tracey and Karen Tracey. Mark grew up in Wethersfield and was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating, and motocross. He had a deep love of animals all of his life and especially loved his canine companions that were always by his side. He also loved music and his Metallica albums were frequently on his playlist. Mark retired from the State of Connecticut last year after 25 years of service. Mark had a quick laugh and a radiant spirit; he was always smiling and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mark leaves behind his father, Peter Tracey and his life-partner Grace Mary Comstock of Bristol, and his mother, Karen Tracey of Newington. Along with his parents, Mark leaves behind three sons, Jordan Tracey of North Carolina, and Ryan and James Tracey of Wethersfield. He is also survived by his sister Susan Tracey and her life-partner Harold Sawyer of Pennsylvania, and his sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Michael Gagnon of Wethersfield, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Avenue Newington. A funeral service will begin at 6 pm at Newington Memorial.
