Jimmy Bellisle Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Bellisle Sr., who left us peacefully at the age of 70 on January 29, 2025, at home with his wife and cat, Charlie, by his side. Born in Norwich, CT, Jimmy was a son, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a man of many talents. He is survived by his father, Louis Bellisle Jr., his sister, Louise Reid, and his brother, Louis Bellisle III. He was a proud father to his children, Jimmy Bellisle Jr., Jaime Brouwer, Nicole Bellisle, and Cory Bellisle, and a loving husband to Candie Bellisle. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great joy in his life. An accomplished race car driver, a true car enthusiast, and a man with an undeniable need for speed, Jimmy's love for all things fast and creative was only matched by his devotion to his family and friends. Jimmy's quick wit, larger-than-life personality, and candid nature made him unforgettable. He always kept those around him on their toes, yet his love for others and his ability to make everyone feel special will never be forgotten. Jimmy will always be remembered for his wild personality, his sense of humor, and his love for helping others. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from 2-6pm at the American Polish Citizens Clubin Griswold, CT. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Jimmy's life and legacy.
