LOVING HUSBAND AND FATHER Harry J. Russell, Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He was the loving husband of Gloria (Bowden) Russell. Born in Beacon Falls and raised in Naugatuck, Harry graduated from Naugatuck High School. After marrying Gloria, they moved to Middlebury and began a long life as Middlebury residents. Harry retired from ITW, previously known as Highland Manufacturing Company, where he worked as a toolmaker for over 40 years. Harry's greatest joy was spending time with his son attending car races every Friday night from April through September. He enjoyed watching UCONN Men's and Women's basketball, occasional trips to the casino, and vacationing at Cape Cod every summer. In addition to Gloria, his wife of 69 years, Harry is also survived by his son Harry "Zeke" J. Russell, Jr. and his wife Mary of Middlebury. Calling hours for Harry will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a service at 12:45pm at Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury. Entombment in Calvary Queen of Peace Mausoleum will immediately follow.
