Edward Babiarz Obituary

Edward J. Babiarz, 81, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of 55 years to Joyce (Pierog) Babiarz, peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born in Hartford on April 18, 1943, to the late Edward A. Babiarz and Frances (Urbanowski) Babiarz. Edward honorably served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Haverfield during the Vietnam War. For his service, he received a Letter of Commendation, a testament to his dedication and commitment. After his military service, Edward went on to pursue a career in Information Technology, working with Kaman Aerospace, Adams Aerospace, and Digital Equipment. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Edward had a deep love for the outdoors, with fishing being his greatest passion. He also enjoyed hunting and looked forward to his trips to Rangely, ME. He was former member of the American Legion. A longtime resident of Windsor Locks, Edward made a lasting impact on the community. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce, and their daughter, Wendy Babiarz of Virginia. Edward is also survived by several extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. A Memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St, Windsor Locks,CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
