Dorothy Greenwald Obituary

Dorothy Dena Greenwald (Levinson, Vine) Born December 16, 1926, (98) died February 7 2025. She led a full life, volunteering at VA Hospitals for over 22,900 hours. Helping at the blind center in West Haven, Connecticut and coordinating the start of welcome kits to incoming vets in Florida. Just after the war, she and other volunteers would climb to the roof of the Hamden town hall, where they watched for enemy planes, Survived by two children, daughter, Roberta and son Alan and wife Patty, plus two step children, Debra and Larry. She has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren She was married to deceased Ruby Vine helping establish Railroad Salvage Stores. Also married to deceased, Walter Greenwald, retired insurance broker. Dorothy was well loved by other family members and friends and will be extremely missed by all that knew her. Funeral services will be held at on Monday morning Feb. 10th at 11:00 o'clock at Beth El Memorial Park, Warner St. Hamden. The Robert E.
