Cynthia Toole Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Anne Toole, 62, of West Haven, passed away February 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Haven on November 12, 1962, Cindy was the eldest daughter of the late Donald and Geraldine (Brockett) Toole. Cindy is survived by her sons, John Rivera and David Toole; her sister, Donna (Joe) Nelthropp-Scirocco; and her three grandchildren, John, Julianna, and Camilla. She will also be missed by her niece and nephew and all the friends who have become family over the years. For over a decade, Cindy was an employee of Walmart in Hamden, after a long tenure at U.S. Surgical in North Haven. She would often be found enjoying a cup of coffee with a side of gossip at her favorite Dunkin' Donuts. In the warmer months, Cindy loved spending her evenings with her sister and friends, singing and dancing along to the bands that performed at the West Haven beach and local town greens. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, 662 Savin Ave., West Haven. There are no other services. Interment will be private. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Cynthia "Cindy" Anne Toole, please visit our floral store.
