Brian Pelsis Obituary

Brian Pelsis, lovingly known as "Pels," beloved son of Carolyn B. Pelsis and the late Bruno Pelsis, passed away on February 20, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital at the age of 59. Born on March 8, 1965, in New Haven, Brian was a man with a heart of gold, known for his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Brian was predeceased by his father, Bruno Pelsis, and his brother, John Pelsis. He leaves behind his mother, Carolyn B. Pelsis, and beloved daughters, Felicia (Walter) Doheny and Taylor Pelsis, along with many friends who were like family. Though he is gone too soon, his spirit, kindness, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Brian's work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his 17 years as a utility worker and union steward for Teamsters Local 443 at the Stop & Shop Distribution Center, where his coworkers became like brothers. Most recently, he's spent the past five years at Lowe's of Wallingford, where he built another strong community of wonderful colleagues who will miss him dearly. Outside of work, Brian found joy in the simple pleasures of life-fishing, riding his motorcycle, being outdoors, and spending time with those closest to him. He was happiest surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter and making memories that will live in our hearts forever. Fulfilling one of his final wishes, Brian was an organ donor and was able to give the ultimate gift-the gift of life to others. His generosity and selflessness will live on through those he helped save. A private service and burial will take place with close family. A Bike-Run and Celebration of Life gathering will be held in the Spring to honor his memory in the way he would have wanted. Donations can be made in Brian's memory to New England Donor Services to support organ donation awareness and help save more lives. Rest easy, Pels. You will be forever missed. I worked with Pel´s for 14 years at S&S warehouse and considered him like family. He was great to be around, he was so energetic, funny and a good listener/mentor. He knew and said hello to everyone in the place everyday and they all recuperated back. He did always talked about his daughters, saying they were the best thing that ever happened to him and how proud of them he was. He would say you can never love anyone, anymore then you love your kids it´s a feeling you get inside your soul.
Thanks Pel´s to all the card games we played on top of a pallet of Cheerios, drinks on break at J´Roos, the laughs we had, the camaraderie we all shared and just the time we spent talking about life.
May the lord guide you & Bless your family through this time of sadness.
