Barbara Pepe Obituary

Barbara Coppola Pepe, 79, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7th, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 54 years to the late Peter P. Pepe. Barbara was born in New Haven on May 13, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Gagliardi Coppola. She worked as a school bus driver for the former Nutile Bus Company and later for the B&B Bus Company until her retirement. Barbara was a dedicated UConn Huskies Basketball fan. Mother of Sandra Pepe Fronte and her husband Anthony. Grandmother of Amanda Cano (Mateo), Sabrina Fronte-Lulaj (Kristjan) and Erika Fronte. Great grandmother of Noah Cano. Sister of Michael Coppola (Laura) and the late Thomas Coppola. Sister-in-law of Nancy Cerrotti and Patricia Pepe. Also survived by nieces and nephews. The visiting hours will be Monday, Feb. 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Tuesday morning, Feb. 11th at 11:00.
