I still can't believe it. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of my dear friend. There wasn't a day that he didn't express and spread joy and happiness to anyone in his presence. I join everyone in thanking God for allowing us to know him.

I was just talking with Carlyse yesterday. I can not help but think of all the fun times that we had growing up together in Dunbar Gardens in Hampton, VA. That "we" included Eugene Ward, Archie Ford, Calvin Brown, Charles Pittman and myself (Sherlock Bruce). BTW, those names are in chronological order. We experienced growing pains as we grew older but in the end we remained friends. I am the only one left in that group but I missed those brothers and they will always have a place in my heart.

I got to know Archie Ford from Facebook even though he was my fraternity brother he pledged at A&T and I pledged at Morgan a few years apart but once I connected with Archie Ford it became and immediate friendship and linked brotherhood. I even connected Archie with the graduate chapter Beta Phi Omega in PG County which he joined. I loved the sincerity and passion of Archie Ford and enjoyed seeing him at the fraternity functions. Of course, I wish I golfed because I am sure we would've met up on the golf courses because Archie was an avid golfer. His wife Cheryl was just as beautiful and kind as Archie they were indeed a marvelous couple. I pray that Archie Ford´s family finds comfort in knowing that this great man will live on forever for he touched so many in his life. Archie B. Ford may you rest in eternal slumber and I know that you are at peace in the Garden of our Ancestors

To All who knew and loved Archie,

I cannot express enough my deepest sympathies on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, mentor and colleague. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten as he remains in our hearts.

I thank you father for the time you allowed us with brother Archie. He was a godsend to me. Thank you for his help and guidance father.

I first me Archie when he came to my office to drop off a check. We started talking and he invited me to come to speak to the Trustees at Colesville Baptist Church. I then convinced him to serve on the board of Eastern Montgomery Emergency Assistance Network (EMEAN). We needed Archie's expertise in accounting as well as his overall business acumen. As the Executive Director of the organization, I was struggling with our accounting software. Archie then became the Treasurer of EMEAN and I could rely on him to handle the financial aspects of the business. He was readily available should I need his counsel, a ride home when my car broke down or support during meetings and presentations.

Archie was a person who lived his life. In the brief time I knew him, I know he loved deeply and he was loved. He talked about his wife Cheryl and his family often. Especially his granddaughters who acted like sisters. He talked about how proud he was of his two daughters and son and their respective families. He talked about hanging out at the condo, the cruise to Bermuda and driving down to southern VA. We talked about our roots and we found that six degrees of separation was only two. We both had a love of golf.

Archie, fought the good fight, he finished the course and he kept the faith. May you rest in paradise my friend.

Wishing you all Mercy, Peace and Love abundantly.

I will never forget Archie.
Probably one of the most sincere, & personable people I have ever met.
Years ago when my wife, & I were scouting for a new spiritual home. Upon my son´s recommendation we decided to check out a church called Colesville Baptist.
We attended that very first service, & right after that service. Archie walks up to my wife, & I right after service. We introduce ourselves to each other, & Archie in his most sincerest splendor says, "Hector, I would be honored if you would join my wife Cheryll, & I at our table for our post service fellowship meal".
In the 63 years that I have been walking this earth, never had I been greeted at a church with such warmth, & sincerity. Archie, was an impactful human being. In just a few short minutes of introduction, I couldn´t help but aspire to be as impactful as Archie. Archie you will be both missed, & very warmly remembered. Thank you, for blessing us with your presence.
Cheryl, my sincerest condolences to you, & your family for your loss.
Archie is most definitely in a better place now, but I am sure he will always be watching over you, & your family.

Be blessed,
The Alfaro´s

Archie has been one of my best friends since 1966 when we first met and became roommates in our freshman year. For the last 20 years Archie and I have spoken to each other at least 2-3 or more times a month and I cherish each and every one of those conversations because they were filled with so much laughter. Most of our laughter came from our college days and the things we shared with each other and our other college buddies. Archie was blessed with an incredible sense of humor and an incredible love for each and everyone he met. I could go on and on about what he meant to me but know that I miss my friend and brother as if I were missing a limb. We face timed a couple of days before he passed. We were both busy and distracted but laughed as we always did. Arch, I can't remember if I said I love you but you know I do. So say hello to Rick and Bear and keep them laughing with all the stories and lies only you can tell until I meet up with you again. Love Allen

I was and remain shocked to hear of Archie's passing. He was a good friend to my late husband, Steve, with whom he used to work. They would also run together. He was also a friend to me when my husband passed. I like to think Archie and Steve have met again, and perhaps are planning a 5K or 10 Miler with some of their other friends who've passed -- a Run for the Angels.

Archie and I worked together at AMC. He was a true sport. He would always call me for intern issues he had. We would joke and laugh together. Sometimes I would have a bad day he would cheer me up about those interns. I tell you he will be solely missed. Rest in Heaven Archie.
