John Cellucci Obituary

John Joseph Cellucci (Mercer), a resident of Modesto, passed away at his home on June 16, 2022. He was born Oct 1, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas, to Helen Frances (Weygandt) and Joseph Aloyoius Cellucci. John married Gloria Wieber in 1993, she preceded him in death on March 15, 2022.
John graduated from Fairfield High School in Langdon, Kansas, in 1965 and served in the USAF, 1966 to 1970. He received an Associate of Arts degree from Columbia College in 1971, and graduated from College for the Recording Arts in 1978. He then earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from San Francisco State University in Creative Arts Interdisciplinary, was awarded Departmental Honors, and graduated summa cum laude in 1979.
John enjoyed creating music and worked as a musical production engineer. He traveled around the world recording anti-terrorism training with the Navy, Army, Department of Energy and the State Department. His later work was in IT.
Survivors include his sister, Carolyn Mercer Curtis, Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepdaughter Cyndi and KC Clemente, Boise, Idaho; and stepgrandsons Noah and Kayley Carmichael-Hitsman and Ethan Hitsman.
