Sharon KEISTER Obituary

Age 84 of Blaine Passed peacefully December 16, 2023, in Coon Rapids, MN. Sharon was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1939. Sharon graduated from The University of Missouri where she met her loving husband, Richard. They quickly decided life should be spent together in love. Sharon and Richard spent the next 64 years enjoying traveling the world with their families and friends, forging unforgettable memories on hikes, golf courses and new restaurants. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Murldeen Austin. She is survived by her husband, Richard; their children, Julie (Uli) Lickert, and Clayton (Melanie) Keister; their grandchildren, Clayton Keister, Kassiann (Tanner) Landin, Maren Lickert, Eric Lickert and Daniel Lickert. Sharon was blessed to have known her three great grandchildren: Henry, Cash and Olivia Landin. Additionally, her brother, Don (Margaret) Austin, and family. Please join us Wednesday, December 27, 11:00 am at Hope Church Blaine. An open house reception to follow at Bunker Hills Event Center from 12-3PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope for the Community Food Shelf (Blaine, MN) or Camp Knutson (Crosslake, MN).

Sharon and I became friends in retirement and I regretted not meeting her earlier in life. True friends are hard to find and impossible to forget. I shall miss her pragmatic view of life and the world and her unfailing care and loyalty to all she held dear. She will be missed so much.
