Diane JACOBY Obituary

"You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived." Diane Virginia Jacoby, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2022 at her home in Inver Grove Heights. She was born on June 7, 1936 in Lake City, MN to Byrul and Mabel Sutherland. She spent her childhood growing up in Pepin, WI. She later met her husband, Lyle Jacoby, in Wabasha, MN. Together they raised their four children in Inver Grove Heights, MN. Diane is survived by her children Lorri (Mark) Dankers, Joe (Sue) Jacoby and Rich (Annette) Jacoby; her grandchildren Matt (Heidi) Dankers, Kristin (Brian) Laudahl, Jolene Jacoby, Richie Jacoby, Nic (Kelly) Jacoby, Max (Andrea) Jacoby and Libby (Lucas) Long; and her great-grandchildren Madden, Landon and Emmy Dankers, Jacoby Laudahl, Cameron and Sophia Jacoby. She joins her husband, Lyle and son, Ed in heaven. Diane will be greatly missed by family and friends. Throughout her life, family was most important to Diane. She dedicated her time to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There are many fond memories of her treasured quiet time at the cabin and sharing time with family, bundling up for Vikings games and celebrating Christmas Eve all together in her home - she always had a good laugh watching the grandchildren race to find a pickle on the Christmas tree! She had a gift for making a special connection with everyone and bringing family together. Many traditions will be carried on in her honor. A private family funeral was held on March 21, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Home in Inver Grove Heights. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
