Homer Sullivan Obituary

SULLIVAN - Homer Waye Sullivan, 78, of Woodbine, Ga., passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024.
He was born in 1946 in Woodbine, Ga., to the late Lucretia Way and George E. Sullivan Sr. Homer attended Ralph J. Bunche High School. He was employed by Exco, Ellis and Gross, and later, Camden County Public Works, where he retired after 22 years of faithful service.
Other than his parents, Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Luberta Drummond Sullivan; brothers, George E. Sullivan Jr., James C. Sullivan, Mack H. Sullivan Sr. and Bernard R.C. Sullivan; sisters, Patricia H. Kight and Cheryl Sullivan; and godparents, Ruther Mae and Lester Morris.
He is survived by his two daughters, Ivy A. Grubbs of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dawn M. Sullivan of Austell, Ga.; three sons, Michael L. (Chastity) Sullivan of Riverview, Fla., Carlos J. (Daniela) Sullivan of Kaiserslautern, Germany, and Terry G. Sullivan of Palm Coast, Fla.; two grandsons, Christopher E. Grubbs II of Jacksonville, Fla., and Maalik J. Baisden of Austell, Ga.; one granddaughter, Michaela C. Sullivan of Riverview, Fla.; sisters, Ann S. Weston of Kingsland, Ga., and Gloria (Theodore) Williams of Woodbine, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Sullivan of Woodbine, Ga., Carolyn D. Sullivan of Woodbine, Ga., Hae Sue Pak Sullivan of New Liano, La., and Essie McKenzie of Utica, N.Y.; one godbrother, Malachi Morris; two godsisters, Ruby Sibley and Mary Thigpen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at Woodbine Cemetery, Ga. Highway 110 in Woodbine, Ga. A public viewing will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
