Alvin Clemens Obituary

Alvin D. Clemens, 91, of Jeannette, peacefully passed away at his home on Feb. 3, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Jeannette on Aug. 22, 1933, son of the late August (Gus) and Reva Mae Clemens. Al was a 1951 graduate of JHS and served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954, where he was stationed at the Mountain Training Center in Salzburg, Austria. He was employed as a tool and die maker by General Motors/Fisher Body for 40 years. Over the years, Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the beach with family and friends. He was an avid animal lover and cherished all of his pets. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn. Al was a beloved husband of Penny Clemens for 59 years. He is also survived by his son, Terry Clemens, and daughter, Patti (Ken) Bearley. Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Dr., Delmont, (724-468-1177). A private service will be held on Friday.
