Rosa Alston Obituary

ALSTON, Mrs. Rosa C., Departed this life September 19th, 2023. Mrs. Rosa C. Alston, age 83, of Richmond, formerly of New York. She is preceded in death by her husband Prince Eugene Alston. She is survived by three daughters Sandra Emanuel, Brenda D. Reid (Maurice A.) and Katherine Alston-Davis (Leon); stepdaughter Barbara Boyd; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister Julia Knox; one sister in law Betty Williams; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Third Street Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 614 N. Third Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Reuben Boyd (pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45 a.m. Monday.
