Thomas Murphy Obituary

Tom Murphy was born in Vallejo, Ca on Oct 15, 1955 to Thomas and Jean Murphy.

Tom grew up in Vacaville, graduating from Vaca High in 1973, with a full-ride scholarship for football. He played football and rugby at University of Hawaii and was a linebacker for UCLA and earned a Rosebowl ring.

After college, Tom came back to his hometown and was a Sales Rep for American Home foods, then moved into the electronics industry where he successfully ran his own business, Total Solutions Group.

Tom literally "switched gears" and drove a big rig in his last 10 years of work. He was happiest on the road, seeing America. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his biggest joy was being with his 2 daughters, Aubrey and Maddie. He retired in 2018 and settled in Missouri.

Tom passed away on July 11, 2023 and laid to rest beside his parents in his hometown of Vacaville, Ca.

Tom leaves behind his 2 daughters, Aubrey and Madison Murphy, a granddaughter, Indica Rain Murphy, and his sisters, Tammy Fullerton, Shelley McCready and Shannon Harrington, as well as a bunch of nieces and nephews who loved him.
