Amy Bostwick Obituary

Amy Bostwick passed away from cancer in January after a long hospice stay in Ft Worth, TX. She passed with her wife and adult children by her side. Amy was born May 8, 1956 to Florence and Oliver Bostwick in Hammond, IN. Amy attended Coe College where she obtained Bachelor's degrees in both vocal music and psychology. She went on to get her masters in psychology from UNI. She worked as an adolescent counselor at Foundation 2, St Luke's, and DHS. Amy was known for her kindness, intelligence, and sharp wit. An avid animal lover, she rescued scores of pets and wild animals throughout her life. Amy sang in many local choirs and was a frequent guest on the Theater Cedar Rapids stage throughout the 80's and 90's. In her later years, Amy Lived in Illinois and Texas. Amy was married to Wendell Keith for 18 years, with whom she had two children. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Oliver Bostwick. She is survived by her wife Jude Johnson, her children Amanda Keith and Megan Etheridge, and her grandchildren Elizabeth, Aaron, and Sam Etheridge. She is also survived by Polly Hall and Wendell Keith. Services will be held at People's Church UU in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, May 11th, from 10am-2pm. Condolences will be held for the first hour with the service beginning at 11:00.
