Betty Langlois Obituary

Betty Wayne Bizette Langlois, a native and resident of New Roads, passed away at the Pointe Coupee General Hospital on October 24, 2024, at the age of 87. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, James H. "Butsie" Langlois, parents, Russell Bizette and Nita Jarreau Bizette, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dewey Langlois and Edna Perrault Langlois, brothers-in-law, E.J. Langlois, Sr. and Gesner LeBlanc, and survived by sister-in-law, Betty Joyce Langlois LeBlanc and numerous relatives. Betty retired from the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office after many years of service. Betty will be fondly remembered for her love of her husband, Butsie, fun- loving, quick witted spirit, trips to the Casino, Gulf Coast and Natchez vacations, family crayfish boils and barbecues. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Niland's Funeral Home, followed by burial at False River Memorial Park Mausoleum. A special thanks is extended to Sylvia Langlois, the LaCour House Assisted Living Facility and to her sitters for their dedication to Betty over the past year. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Langlois, Tommy Langlois, Matt Swindler, Scott Swindler, Tommy LeBlanc and Calvin Kelley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
