Kenneth S. Blanton Jr, 69 of Vero Beach, Fl passed away on February 24, 2019. He was born to the late Kenneth Sr and Mary Frances Blanton on November 24, 1949 in Live Oak, Florida. Ken graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1968, and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly dedicated 23 years of his life serving in the armed forces. He happily returned to his home state of Florida after retirement in 1992. Survivors include his children, Kenneth S. Blanton III of Vero Beach and Theresa Capron-Tackett of Brooklet, GA; 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; a brother, Ronald Bernard Blanton Sr. of Sebastian, FL and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Funeral Service followed by Military Honors will begin at 5:00 PM. Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to Ainsley's Angels at www.crowdrise.com/AATreasureCoast.
