Walter Bryant Obituary
Walter Bryant, Jr. was born February 7, 1934 in Tallahassee, FL to the late Walter and Iola Bryant. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Barbara Bryant Reese; step-sister, Smithie Evans; step-brother, Samuel L. Bryant; and chocolate Labrador retriever, Brando. Walter departed on October 5, 2012. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, a graduate of Lincoln High School and Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. He is survived by his devoted wife, Della G. Bryant; son, Lateef R. Bryant (Robin), Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Marvia B. Simmons (Harold), Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Vera B. Haugabrook (Eddie) Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter, Nailah Dunn, Tallahassee, FL and many loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10 AM at First Larkin St, SW 404-522-8454 Congregational Church UCC, 105 Courtland St, NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. Carl M. The phrase, "gentle giant" comes to mind whenever I think of Deacon Walter Bryant. Now, I don't know if he was this way with Della (-:, but with his pastors and the members of First Congregational Church, he showed extraordinary patience. He was gentle but not weak, in any way, wise but never boastful about his wisdom, faithful yet never overbearing, as he shared his faith with others. We will miss Walter Bryant and our prayers are with you, Della and the family.

My heart is deeply grieved over the loss of my brother-n-law and friend. He and Della became one from the very beginning of their relationship. We will always have fond and loving memories of him. My heart is very bereaved over the passing of my brother-n-law and friend. He and Della had truly become one from the very beginning of their relationship. I have so many fond memories that brings smiles to my lips and sometimes a hearty laugh. I thank God for bringing him to our family. He will live on in our hearts Della and Rashad.
