I love this picture of Uncle Jim. It´s exactly how I remember him. With his charming, peaceful smile that always made me feel like he was not in a rush to go anywhere; just happy being exactly where he was at that moment in time. It was his gift. He always seemed so patient and relaxed. As a kid, I always looked forward to Uncle Jim and Aunt Pat visiting us in Nebraska and I was impressed that they would ride their motorcycle such a great distance. It made us feel special, like we were worth such a big trip. I remember visiting Jim and Pat in Calistoga and seeing their mulberry tree from Nebraska. A little piece of home. I am grateful for the special times we shared and hold memories dear to my heart. Uncle Jim, you were loved and you are missed. Love Carrie and family

Uncle Jim was truly one of a kind. He had a way to always make people feel special. I always remember getting so excited for Jim and Pat to come visit and I always thought they were so adventurous by driving their motorcycle all the way from California to Nebraska. I remember him taking me up the mountain on his motorcycle, camping in the redwoods, wine tasting at all the wineries, walking by the ocean, and of course walking and talking every morning for coffee!! He will always be in my heart. I was very blessed to have him as my uncle!!
