Darla Baldwin Obituary

Darla Dean Baldwin, age 76, of Bandy, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Claypool Hill, Virginia. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Thomas Cordle and Sadie Irene Terry Cordle. She had made her home in the Bandy area most of her life and was a former secretary for Ingersoll-Rand and Sears; and later worked as an aide at Richlands Middle School. She was a devoted and active member of the Bandy Freewill Baptist Church and was a Richlands High School Class of 1967 and a SVCC Class of 1970 graduate. Darla will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She had a genuine concern for others and always found ways to serve the less fortunate. She enjoyed collecting strawberry décor, and had a weakness for Hershey's chocolate bars. She has now gone on to be with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Baldwin. Survivors are: Son: Kevin Baldwin and wife, Adriane Grandchildren: Alexander Baldwin, Ashley Baldwin, Erica Baldwin, Natalie Baldwin, and Miranda Baldwin Funeral services for Darla Dean Baldwin will be conducted Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 3pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Ronnie Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Friends may visit with the family from 2pm until 3pm Sunday prior to the funeral at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
