Julia Interlande Obituary

Julia, known as Julie (Venskowski) Interlande, 89, of Elm Terrace died Monday, January 25, 2021 at home. She was born in Millers Falls on January 21, 1932, the daughter of Martin and Valeria Venskowski. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School.

She was employed by the Greenfield Tap & Die in Greenfield for many years. Later in her life she worked as a home health aide, caring for the elderly.

Julie was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Greenfield where she spent her time volunteering. She loved to travel in her younger years, especially her trip to Poland where her mother was born. She was an avid walker and would often be seen walking in town. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and hearing about their lives and of their accomplishments. She loved to entertain family at her home on holidays, always the gracious hostess. She loved to laugh and was very generous to her family and friends.

Among survivors, Julie leaves her brother, Walter Venskowski of Greenfield; nephews, Joseph Podlesny of Deerfield and Richard Podlesny of Greenfield; nieces, Laurie Jenkin-Burt of Marblehead, MA, Jacquelyn Barclay of Indialantic, Florida, Roxanne Venskowski of Belchertown, MA, Vivian Venskowski of Gill, MA, and Yvonne Looman of Colrain, MA. She also leaves behind several grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Alec Interlande, sisters Sophie (Mastyle) Jenkin, Effie (Venskowski)Podlesny, and Helen (Venskowski) Boncek, along with brothers Ted Mastyle and Leon Venskowski. Also she was predeceased by her nieces Jayne (Boncek) Dixon, Marchelle Boncek and nephews Robert Podlesny and Steven Boncek.
