I knew George when I was a teenager. I was outside washing my mom's car when I saw this long-haired guy drive by and look at me and then he did a u-turn and came back to talk to me. After that he was my boyfriend for maybe a year maybe more. What a talented guy. So serious with those big eyes. He would come to my house and play the piano for my mom and he was so good playing the bumblebee and the Charlie Brown song. And the way he could play the guitar, like wow! This is a guy I will never forget. He brought a lot of love and talent to this world with his music and his big heart. So long Georgie.

Dearest George,
I like to think when God creates us it's like putting together a new, never before made recipe and when he made you, he opened up the pantry and said, “Nothing but the best for this one”.
Going down the list God added Kindness, an Intelligent mind, Sense of Humor, Great Hair, Height, a strong sense of Right and Wrong, and a pinch of a Devastatingly Handsome Smile. But that pinch wasn’t quite enough, so it ended up being a crooked smile, which (still) turned out to be perfect after all.
Who would’ve known that starting on that evening of March 10, 2005 at the Twin Oaks we would embark upon a journey that would begin a life together that would endure for nearly 20 years and we were - together forever, and will be again. The journey to be “Us” was at times difficult, but always worth the effort. We learned more about each other through the difficult times and loved each other more because of it in the end.
I wish now that I’d told you how very much you meant to me, and how much I Love You. And those 3 words were never enough. So, I expressed my love through my actions
and even that didn’t seem like enough.
And now I am left with memories. Watching T.V. together That crooked smile on your handsome face, the warmth of your eyes, and the reassuring hug you would give me when I was going through a crisis in my life. Every night ending with a kiss and telling each other “I Love You. All moments that I treasure.
I miss you more than you’ll ever know. I miss your kindness, your thoughtfulness, your strength and determination, bravery to face the world with a smile, even with everything that you were going through, and most of all I miss your love. I’ve never known anyone like you and know that I never will again – you’re one in a million George and no one can ever take the place in my heart that I hold for you.
I’m a better person with you than I am without you. Happy Birthday (November 21st, 2023), my love – I adore you and miss you.
With Love from Your Pammles

Some great memories hanging out with George in the 80s. Just one of several musicians that I enjoyed being around. He had a great sense of humor and knew how to have fun! RIP my friend. You left us way too soon.

I met George when I was in 9th grade. He was friends with my bf at the time Rob. They were in a band together. George was a great guy. He was the DJ for my 40th party. It was always great running into him over the years. He always told me “wow u look the same as when we were kids” & so did he..He’s up in heaven playing music & making everyone smile. RIP George.

I met George as a teenager growing up in Petaluma. George was one of my Dad's (Bill Lofgren) favorite colleagues and we always enjoyed being around him since he was so funny. George taught my younger sister how to play guitar. I have a funny memory of joking about how he would buy me a Yellow Xterra someday, I think because he had a Xterra himself back in the 1990's. As an adult, I always enjoyed seeing George at Safeway. George was a wonderful man and great friend. His memory will live on through all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.

Another great musician and Karaoke host will be missed by many. George always joked around putting smiles on people faces by entertaining them with music. He was a great friend always willing to listen. I was shocked to hear news cause I just saw him at another funeral. RIP my friend fly with the angels!

There are people who are lights in the world, and you were one of those people who made this rock a better place while you were on it. You will live on in the memories of those who love you. I just want to say that George and I were friends from the 80’ s and have nothing but good memories of him and I was saddened by his passing way too soon! Loved him like a brother and when I think of him as I did today passing by Safeway and a venue that he did his karaoke show it brought a smile to my face George was a beautiful person and I will miss him dearly sending loving thoughts and prayers to all his loved ones
