Sept. 22, 1949 - Jan. 10, 2024

HUDSON FALLS – Dave Rothermel, 73, of Hudson Falls, and formerly of Lake George, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on September 22, 1949, in Albany, he was the son of the late John J. and Helene (Daggett) Rothermel.

Dave graduated from Lake George High School. Shortly after graduating, he began his service as a Sea Bee, in the United States Navy in Vietnam.

Following his discharge, he owned J. David Builders and Sons. He loved his career and made his work his hobby. He will be remembered as being a hard worker.

On May 28, 2004, he married Denise (Sipowicz) at the Gazebo on the Park in Hudson Falls.

Dave also enjoyed traveling, especially to new places, especially the ocean. In his down time, he could be found playing a round or two of golf.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Andrea Rothermel and Russann Rothermel.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Rothermel; his children: Jay Rothermel and his wife, Georgia, Christopher Rothermel and Chrystal "Kitt" Rothermel; his grandchildren: John, Mikalya, Christian, Carmella and Brianna Rothermel, Aiden Stewart and Shelby DeCrescente; his five siblings: Christine Tebbutt, Steven Rothermel, Jolene Rothermel, Tom Rothermel, Jamie Rothermel and Marty Rothermel; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment with full military honors will be at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Stillwater.

Memorials in David's name may be sent to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
