When we moved into Beaufort Farms in 1990, Barb and Joe welcomed us with a neighborhood dinner party, and treated us like family from then on. Barb was unfailingly kind to us and our son Mikey, always having a Klondike bar ready for him. I will always remember the day we shared the unusual discovery of a renegade parrot in a tree! But most of all, remembering her kindness and generous spirit.
Mike, Mikey, and I send our deepest condolences to her beloved family.

We lived next to Barb and Joe for many years in Beaufort Farms. They welcomed us to the neighborhood with a dinner party, and continued to treat us like family from then on. Barb was unfailingly kind, and had Klondike bars and a kind word for our son Mikey through his growing up,even the challenging teenage years! I will never forget the day she and I watched an escaped parrot land in our tree! So many memories, but what stands out is her good heart and generous spirit, and a life well-lived.
Mike, Mikey and I send our deepest sympathies.

So sorry to hear about Barbara - I have MANY fond memories of her and Joe as we lived next door for so many years. When we heard she moved to VA I had no way to get in touch with her, sadly. I especially remember the Gardiner Tradition of inviting non family members to their home to share Christmas Dinner - and think of it every Christmas. Truly to be so loving and giving is a gift! God Bless Barbara.
