Charles McDaniel Obituary
Charles Armon McDaniel, 98, of Reidland, passed away at 3:21 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. McDaniel was a maintenance supervisor at Martin Marietta, a Veteran of the Navy during WWII, a member and deacon at Oaklawn Baptist Church, and a member of American Legion Post 31 of Paducah.
He is survived by his son, David (Teresa) McDaniel of Nashville; one stepson, Mike (Milly) Davis of Paducah; two daughters, Camilla (Eddie) Box of Paducah and Karen (Jack) Jackson of Murray; five grandchildren, Mary Catherine (Darren) Patty, Drew Wooldridge, Clare McDaniel, Russ (Jordyn) McDaniel, May McDaniel; two step-grandchildren, Jill (Justin) Vessels, Clay Davis; one great granddaughter, Henley McDaniel; two step-great grandsons, Davis Vessels and Grey Vessels; several nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Hicks) McDaniel; second wife, Delilah (Davis) McDaniel; parents, William Carmen McDaniel and Treva (Smith) Washer; one brother, Wayne McDaniel; one sister, Evelyn Wilkins.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Wadesboro Cemetery in Hardin.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions made to Oaklawn Baptist Church, 500 Oaks Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
