Robert Kent Eschler
Nov. 18, 1940 - June 17, 2020

OKLAHOMA CITY
Robert "Kent" Eschler was born on Nov. 18, 1940, in Walters, OK to Bill and Loree Eschler. He entered the arms of Jesus on June 17, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Kent lived in OKC and graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1959, where he met his wife, Evelyn. Upon high school graduation, Kent attend OU and OBU. Kent and Evelyn were married Dec. 24, 1961. They had 59 loving years together and raised three daughters, Elizabeth, Melinda, and Jennifer.
In his younger years, Kent enjoyed taking bike rides with his girls, teaching them to play tennis and taking then to Capitol Hill Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and taught teenagers in Sunday school as well as helping his wife teach first, second and fourth grade Sunday school.
Kent spent 15 years at Kellogg's as a Sales Rep and the rest of his career as the Managers of Huttig Sash and Door, Windor Building Supply and Northwest Building Supply, where he retired.
Kent shared his kindness by welcoming anyone who showed up to share a meal and hosting backyard Bible Club in his own beautiful backyard. He was always a good neighbor and enjoyed keeping the prettiest yard on the block.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Loree Eschler; and his brothers, Charles Eschler and Jerry Eschler. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Evelyn Eschler, of the home; daughters, Elizabeth Benno, of Allen, TX; Melinda Meyer and husband David, of Newcastle, OK; and Jennifer Gregory and husband Scott, of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Carter Benno, Grant Benno, Matthew Meyer, Alex Meyer, Ryan Gregory, and Seth Gregory; along with many other friends and family members.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor his life on Monday, June 22 at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, located at 304 SW 134th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73170, at 10:30 a.m. No burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's research. We are comforted in knowing that Kent Eschler knows who Kent Eschler is again. He will be greatly missed and forever treasured in our hearts.

I knew Kent & attended school from 4th grade at Rancho Village Elementary through 12th grade at U.S. Grant High School. Kent was a stand-up guy and friend.
