George William Miller, 82, of Claysville, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born March 23, 1939, in Washington, a son of the late Raymond and Eleanor Day Miller.
After graduating high school, George became a tank tester at McGraw Edison/Cooper Industries and married his love of 60 years, Ruby J. Miller.
George was a member of Windy Gap Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, George was also preceded in death by his brother, John R. Miller, and his twin brother who passed away in infancy.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby J. Jones Miller; daughters, Diane Painter (Clifford), and Sandy Gelety (Tim); granddaughters, Caitlin Gelety (Eric Falvey), and Katrina Gelety; several nieces and nephews; and also Sydney aka Kitty Kitty.
Visitation for George will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, in Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323, (724) 663-7373, www.youngfhinc.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 10, officiated by Pastors George Crawford and Joe Rearick. Interment to follow at West Finley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Windy Gap Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
