Mary was a cousin, a sister, a friend. We shared so many memories, so many good times. It's hard to accept that I won't hear that laughter, share our long talks, holidays any more. When I heard of her passing I sat in shock and disbelief. But then I began to thank God for her life and the great times we shared. To know her was to love her. If you spent time with her whether in her presence or on the phone, it was going to be a good time because she kept you laughing. We often talked about death and as hard as it is to accept her death, Mary was alright with death. I know because she so often said so. I thank God for her being a part of my family, I thank God for all of the holidays, outings, phone calls, times shared "just because". Just as I can always think about her dad with a smile or a laugh, Mary will forever be in my heart. So long cousin...until we meet again.

I worked many years with Mary at St. Catherine Hospital on 6 west. She took great pride in taking care of our patients as well as our team. She loved her family and worked very hard. It was my pleasure to have known and worked with Mary. I am thankful that I recently had a few chances to see and catch up with Mary at the hospital . May God comfort her family.
