Nancy Sue (Windgassen) Miller, 61, passed away on October 13, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 24, 1961 to James and Marian Windgassen. Her family moved to Barrington in 1970, where she first attended St. Anne's Catholic Grade School and later graduated from Barrington High School in 1980. Nancy enjoyed hiking, spending time, and playing frisbee in the Deer Grove Forest Preserve, where she met her future husband, Mike Miller in 1980. Together, they moved to Lake in the Hills in 1988, where their family still resides today. A loving and dedicated mother of two daughters, Angela and Aimee Miller, she volunteered for many years at Lake in the Hills Elementary School for the TAP program, where both her children attended school. She most adored family vacations, which often included exploring beaches in Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marian Windgassen, and her oldest brother Glenn; she is survived by her husband, Mike Miller; her daughters, Angela and Aimee Miller; and five of her brothers and sisters: Jeanne Vanover, Gail Drury, Bill Windgassen, Sharon Zak Wojdyla, and Rick Windgassen.
