Harriet Parnell Obituary

Harriet "Bunny" Parnell passed away Jan. 15, 2025, at her home in Hilliard, Florida, with her loving family and friends by her side, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Leakesville, Mississippi in 1946 to Onrie Spears and Emma Smith. Harriet was a loyal and devoted member of First Baptist Church of St. George, Georgia for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard H. Parnell, Sr.
Harriet is survived by her children, James Robert Blount, Jr. and his wife, Irene Parnell Blount; Keith Allan Blount and his wife, Charlotte Nicole Blount; stepchildren, Deborah Parnell Bruno and her husband, Junior Bruno, and Richard H. Parnell, Jr.; sister, Carol Jean Sessions; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
The tribute above was prepared by Harriet's loving family. A celebration of Harriet's life will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Finley officiating. Interment will be in River Road Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
