Stephanie Wasniewski Obituary

Stephanie Iverson Wasniewski, of Naperville, died suddenly October 2nd at the age of 39. Originally from Racine, Wisconsin she graduated from Waterford Union High School and went on to Gateway Technical in Kenosha, Wisconsin for her nursing degree. Stephanie met Cory Wasniewski, the love of her life, in the winter of 2005 in Milwaukee. It was destiny that they fell in love, and they were married June 20th, 2009. Stephanie and Cory went on to have two bright and gifted children, Mackenzie age 11, and Connor, age 8. She instilled in both her children a tender and respectful appreciation of all animals and the wonderful creatures of the sea. They were raised with her compassion for the injured and have been passed their mother's nurturing and thoughtful care as well as a good-natured sense of humor. After graduating with a degree in nursing, she began her career in healthcare with Maxim Healthcare in Orland Park. For 12 years, Stephanie had a full professional career as a nurse and was a clinical manager. She was a well-respected nurse, passionate about the people she served and the care she gave. She had a profound impact on the families and nurses she assisted. Stephanie received countless recognitions and awards, as well as "Team Member of the Year". She was a great collaborator and colleague and was involved and participated in many charitable causes. "She was the best of the best and a shining light in the company. Stephanie will be missed immensely by the entire Maxim Community." Everyone is heartbroken by her unexpected and sudden death. Carol and John Iverson (parents) lost a loving daughter, and Cory and Michelle Iverson lost a dear sister and sister-in-law. Gretchen and Jim Wasniewski lost a brilliant daughter-in-law. Paisley and Caleb Iverson and Charlie and Arthur Rheaume lost a wonderful and fun aunt. There are too many to name, a multitude of families lost a beautiful, special friend and relative. Although she will be sorely missed by all that she was impacted while she was with us, her legacy will live on in the lives that she saved as an organ donor. Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, October 8th, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr., Naperville. Interment private.
