Wanda Jean Hill, age 82, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 8:29 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at her home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.
Wanda was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending Victory Christian Center. She worked at Redbanks Nursing Home for 27 years as a CNA and then in the physical therapy unit. One of Wanda's favorite things was cardinals and all red birds, she had a beautiful collection of them. She loved her family dearly and was the best mom and grandma.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lula Daugherty, son William David Hill and her brothers Lucian Daugherty, Leroy Daugherty, and James Daugherty.
Wanda is survived by her best friend and companion James "Jim" Townsend of Henderson, KY; daughters: Patricia Ann Richmond of Henderson, KY, Tammy Marie Moseley of Robards, KY, Shirley Jean Roach (Jeff) of Henderson, KY, and Cindy Louise Hill (Nicole) of Henderson, KY; daughter-in-law Lisa Hill of Henderson, KY; sister Nina Miller of Calhoun, KY; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Wanda's Life Celebration from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Jody Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY.
Pallbearers will be JR Majors, Cindy Hill, Timothy Hill, Austen Lemon, Hunter Fenwick, and Dustin Fenwick. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Long and Tyler Burch.
