Virgilio Aguilar Obituary

Virgilio Aguilar, affectionally known as "Pops" or "Guelo" of Katy Texas, passed away peacefully in his home on April 11, 2025, with his wife by his side. Virgilio was born on April 17, 1945, in Monterrey, Mexico to Virgilio Aguilar Gonzalez and Paula Flores Alvarado.
Virgilio married Mary Harrison Aguilar on June 13, 2004. The two bonded over their love for the outdoors, animals and their plants. They built a beautiful life together with an immense bond with their children and grandchildren.
Virgilio especially loved golfing when he was able, cooking, shopping, his cats, Call of Duty, the gym, work, the gift of giving and reading his Bible.
Anyone who knew "Pops" knew he was a Godly man, generous, loving and always extending the blessings and grace God gave him to others. His wife, children and grandchildren always came first no matter the situation. He was a special "Guelo" from singing Mexican lullabies to his grandbabies, offering them wisdom and always praying over them. He was a lifelong pet lover with his most recent fur babies being his beloved cats, Tigger and Tux. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories. His absence will be felt deeply, but his spirit will forever be with us.
1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain".
Remaining to cherish Virgilio's memory are his wife, Mary Aguilar; his children, Virgil Aguilar Jr. (Essie), Paulina Aguilar Marino, George Harrison (Krystle); Brother Javier Aguilar and Sisters, Norma Aguilar and Maria Concepcion Aguilar; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are Virgilio's Parents Virgilio Aguilar Gonzalez and Paula Flores Alvarado, Brothers Carlos Aguilar and Rogelio Aguilar and Daughter, Fabiola Lopez. Memorial donations in Virgilio's memory may be directed to your favorite Veteran's Association.
