Vicki Jean Johnson (Fink), 73, left our world in Portland, Oregon to float amongst the cosmos as she imagined was her next step. Born in Goldendale, Washington to Anita Anderson and Orin Fink she was the 2nd eldest and 1st girl amongst 5 siblings. Growing up in lower SE Portland Vicki attended Harriet Tubman and Washington High School and was proud to have earned her GED at the same time that her eldest daughter graduated from high school. As a young lady she worked at Amato's Restaurant along with her mother and the two of them were sparkling gems that many folks enjoyed stopping in to see.
Upon having her first daughter Alicia she started her waitress legacy working at Pappy's Restaurant on NE 82nd where she was loved dearly and met so many wonderful people. This career lasted over 20 years and her final working role was as a Forklift Parts Specialist which she excelled at and brought smiles and giggles to those around her! At the age of 28 she had her second daughter Kristin and found sobriety once again. Vicki's life was a hard one to say the least but she was a very strong willed woman who kept on trying, no matter what. Her two daughters Alicia and Kristin were her purpose in life and what she held on for in the end. She was blessed to be a part of her grandson Holden's life for these first 6 years which we know has engraved lifelong memories for him and is what kept her going when things were really tough for her.
Vicki retired early and lived the last 23 years with her eldest at her side and boy were they quite a duo! They made many trips to see family and friends, including spending time every year in Detroit, Oregon where her mother Anita first homesteaded. Vicki loved the travels that she had the chance to be part of, including many trips to the Oregon Coast. She loved her family and missed her Mother and two brothers that passed before her. She was a survivor indeed and did her best to bring love, smiles and laughs to those around her. Whether you knew her as Vicki, Victoria, Aunt Vicki, Sister Sue, Mama or Gigi, you knew she had a big heart and cared about everyone. She will be missed forever, our memories of her will never disappear and we will continue to laugh and smile while sharing stories of the silly things she would say and do.
Vicki leaves behind her two sisters Patty Sheppard and Debbie Smith, little bro Mark Skelly, 4 nieces, 4 nephews and was a great Aunt to 12+ little ones. She joins her older brother Gary and younger brother Larry along with her Mother and Father in the cosmos. Hopefully she bumps into many other loved ones that passed before her and have been missed greatly. We find solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and is free from the hardships that she had been dealing with ever so bravely. Vicki was a very special woman to many; unique, creative, positive, fun and had a huge heart. Most would say there was never a dull moment with Vicki around!!

Mama I miss you and your smile and your twinkle every day, some days are so hard to get thru. You were my best friend, we were so connected and you were my rock and my reason for all of my life. I am so lost without you, please guide me in my new direction and hold my hand along the way. I still need you and will for the remainder of my days. Big big hugs and kisses from one Matilda to another.
