Winston Salem, NC — Mr. Thomas “Mitchell” Davidson, age 73, peacefully entered into rest on November 28, 2024, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Born on August 10, 1951, in Chesterfield, SC Mitchell was the son of the late Thomas Woodrow Davidson and Lucy Pate Davidson. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, class of 1969, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in History from Clemson University in 1973.
An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Mitchell had a passion for hiking in the mountains, trout fishing, and camping. He was also a devoted fan of the Clemson Tigers football team.
Mitchell is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Lackey Davidson, of Winston Salem, NC; his sister, Jane Davidson (Jim) Adams, of Chesterfield, SC; as well as numerous cousins and friends who will remember him fondly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chesterfield Animal Services, located at 436 Goodale Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
