Batch, Thomas M. Jr., of Arlington passed away unexpectedly on May 29th. Beloved husband of Ellen (Brogan) Batch. Loving father of Brian, Elisabeth, and Amber Batch. Brother of Susan, Irene and the late Jeanne Batch. Thomas graduated from UNH in 1971. He worked for over 33 years at the Treasury and received many performance awards throughout his career. Thomas was very proud of his work and was an extremely hard worker. He was an avid baseball player, playing well into his 30’s and was a member of several leagues. Thomas was a devoted Boston sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Redsox, Patriots, and Celtics games. He loved golf, nature, and traveling to New Hampshire and Cape Cod with his family. He will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home, 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN on Thursday from 4-7 pm and to his funeral mass on Friday at 11 am in St. Camillus Church. Please meet directly at church, staff will assist with parking. Burial to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Thomas to American Heart Association 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451 or heart.org/donate. Please accept condolences from Mary Jo Gomes-McCarten and Christopher McCarten. We worked with Tom since 1990 in various positions over the course of our careers and are saddened to only recently being informed of his passing. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. We will keep in our prayers. God Bless!
