Sharon Abood Obituary

ABOOD, Sharon, M., June 16, 2025. Age 78. Beloved wife of the late Dennis (2019). Loving mother of Michelle (Eric) Davis and Joanne (Nicholas) Truza. Proud grandmother of Nathan, Hannah, Niko, Benjamin and the late Jacob. Dear sister of Stephen (Robin) Ivkov, Mary (Bill) Delisi, and Joanne (Joseph) Ventimiglia. Predeceased by her siblings Ronald Ivkov, George Ivkov, Carol Carpentier, and John Ivkov. Sharon is survived by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Raymond Carpentier, Carol Ivkov, and Janet Ivkov, as well as many adored and admiring Abood and Ivkov extended family members. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She enjoyed playing games such as Yahtzee and poker with her grandchildren. She also loved a good bingo hall and her slots. She was famous for her "Toto's" soup and her Lebanese chicken and rice, enjoyed by every member of her family. She took such pride in raising her daughters, never missing a sporting event and her endless love. Her true joy in life was watching her grandchildren. She enjoyed countless sleepovers with them, which included milkshakes, movies, late nights, and made-to-order breakfasts. Despite her health challenges through the years, she never wavered in her strength and in her faith. She was a true warrior. Her love, kindness, and selflessness will truly be missed. She is welcomed home by her father and her mother whom she adored, her loving husband, and has a playdate set with her beloved grandson.Funeral Thursday instate 9am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 22412 Overlake St. in St. Clair Shores until time of Mass 10am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Jacob Michael Davis Foundation.
