Deloris "Dee" Hanson, 89, of Moorhead, formerly Fergus Falls, died Friday, September 12, 2025 at Eventide Senior Living in Moorhead.
Deloris Ardelle Johnson was born March 26, 1936, to Oscar and Ruth (Clauson) Johnson in Pelican Rapids, Maplewood Township, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Maplewood Lutheran Church in Erhard. Her parents were farmers, Dee worked all aspects of farming. She attended country school and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1954.
On May 12, 1956, Dee married Clayton T. Hanson. They had two children, Debra and Mark. She worked in banking for 30 years in Elbow Lake. After retirement, they moved to the twin cities and co-managed apartment complexes for ten years. In 1998, they moved back to Fergus Falls.
They were longstanding members of Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and were apart of various committees. Her family, whether they were close or extended, were the most important in her life. Dee was very social.
She is survived by her daughter, Deb (Scott) Falk; three grandchildren, Nicole (Lee) Dennis, Christopher Falk, and Samantha (Brett) Wagner; great-grandchildren, Victor Dennis and Addyson and Jocelyn Wagner, and sister, Marlene Woessner.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Clayton; her parents; her son, Mark; her brother-in-law, Paul Woessner, and a great-grandson, Pedro Dennis.
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Olson Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
