Ruth Weaver Blackwell, age 90, of Stockbridge, GA passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1934, in Double Springs, Alabama, to the late Sam Weaver and Ella Barnett Weaver. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William C. "Billy" Blackwell; and sons, Sammy Charles Blackwell and William "Greg" Blackwell.

Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her daughter, Sheila Blackwell Cook, and adopted son, Mike Coffey; grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Cook, Cyle (Jessica) Cook, Charles Blackwell, Christy Gardner, Misty (Ken) Bruce, and David Blackwell; great-grandchildren; Alexie, Isaac, Bristol, Brooklyn, Jasmine, Jason, Mason, and Talan; as well as several extended family members and friends.

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Blackwell will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
