Robert Harmon Wright, 88, of
Pickerington, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2025.
Born on April 11, 1937, Robert was a lifelong resident and devoted member of the Pickerington community, where his family settled in 1949. A true family man, Robert cherished spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Farming was not just Robert's occupation but his passion and way of life. He was deeply involved in the agricultural community and was a proud member of the Canal Winchester Corn Club, Canal Winchester Adult Farmers, Blue Ribbon Farm Family, Corn Growers Association, Massey Harris Ferguson Club of Ohio, Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club, FFA, and the Producer's Livestock Board. His love for farming and dedication to his community were evident in everything he did.
Robert was also a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church in Baltimore, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward H. Wright and Mary Rebecca (Hott) Wright, and his brothers, William M. Wright and Charles E. Wright.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Lorri A. Wright; son, Ronald (Jennifer) Wright; daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Weaver; stepson, Walter Verchota Jr.; and stepdaughter, Rebecca (Beau) Christenson. He was a proud grandfather to Rob (Audra) Wright, Lucas (Kristina) Wright, Jonathan Wright, Jared Weaver, Melissa (Dylan) Stroud, Katelyn (Micah) Jensen, and Catherine Wright; step grandchildren, Kali Christenson, Kyle Christenson, Jezebel Verchota, Walter Verchota III, Olivia Verchota & Cordelia Verchota
His joy was multiplied through his great-grandchildren, Oaklee Wright, Lexi Wright, Laila Wright, Korbin Wright, Everly Jensen, Conner Stroud, Madison Stroud, & Hudson Jensen. He is also survived by his cousin Jim Wills and several nieces.
Robert's legacy of hard work, love for family, and dedication to his community will live on through all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, Pickerington, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Christ United Methodist Church, Baltimore, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Violet Cemetery.
