Rebecca Pickering Obituary

Rebecca Ann Pickering, 90, of Byram, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 24, 2025. She was born on June 25, 1935, in Magee, Mississippi, to the late Herbert and Emma Patrick.

Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared 68 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Eugene Pickering. Together they built a loving family, raising their son, Lanny Pickering, and daughters, Anita Page and Amber Franklin (John). She was a proud grandmother to Kevin Page, Jeremiah Giordano, and Sophia Giordano. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special neighbors whom she cherished dearly.

Rebecca's life was defined by her deep love for her family and the kindness she extended to everyone around her. She will be remembered for her warmth, faith, and the joy she brought to those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Emma Patrick also her brothers, Herbert Jr. and James Patrick also her son-in-law, Kelly Page.

From her loving husband, "She is not really gone she just went home and we will see her again." She loved her family also loved keeping kids in her home for working parents. She loved working with the Home Missions in her church. She will be missed by her family but we know she is at rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Country Woods Baptist Church, 6737 S. Siwell Rd, Byram, MS 39272. Visitation will be from 9:30–10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, Mississippi.
